The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was set up in the year 1998 to meet the growing requirement of practical design engineers in the country and abroad. The Department endeavours to provide state- -of- the- art education and lays great emphasis in developing creative skills and all round development of the students .It specializes in the areas of Embedded Systems, Microelectronics & VLSI, Digital Signal Processing, Communication Engineering & Microwave Engineering. Electronics & Communication Engg. stream is always in great demand because of broad based coverage which also includes Communication and IT. Electronics is all pervading as an integral part of all Mechanical, Electrical, Communications and IT equipment and systems. Electronics & Communication engineers have good employment opportunity in Electronics & Communication including Cellular telephones, Microwave, Satellite & IT fields.

The sanction faculty strength of the department is 3 Professors, 7 Assistant Professors and 14 Lecturers. Presently the Department is headed by Prof. M.P Tripathi who has a rich experience of nearly thirty-five years in R&D laboratories and teaching institutions of repute.
